My Story

Hi Friends! 

It's me, Emily and I am the owner of The Ninety Nine Boutique (wow, that is still weird to say sometimes). I just wanted to give you all a little back story on The Ninety Nine Boutique because I think that it is fun for you guys to know who you are buying from and supporting. Also because this would 100% not be possible without all of you.

Although, I have always been interested in fashion and loved shopping (who doesn't?) I actually went to college to obtain a bachelors of science in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Long story short, all the plans that I thought I had for myself, God looked at them and laughed. He had a much bigger/better plan for me so I followed. I knew that I wanted to build something that was mine. I also knew that I wanted to use my resources in a way that would also help others.

*Heads up, this is where The Ninety Nine comes into play.

The name, The Ninety Nine, was inspired by the worship song "Reckless Love". I was listening to it in the car one morning and I immediately knew that was going to be the name of my boutique. If you are not familiar with parable of the lost sheep it is about a shepherd who leaves his flock of ninety nine sheep in order to find the one which is lost. It sounds crazy because why would the shepherd leave the ninety nine to go rescue the one, right? Wrong, the point is that the one lost sheep is equally as important as the other ninety nine. We are all equally worthy of God's love! I think this is especially important to remember as we continue to face the daily challenges of the world we live in today.

Another reason this parable is important to me is because when the shepherd left the ninety nine sheep everyone thought that it was crazy and reckless of him but he believed in that one, just as I believe in this business. My wish for this business is that everyone feels welcome here and that you all feel beautiful in our clothes. I also wish that with this platform I am able to help others which is why I have decided that all items that are specific to The Ninety Nine (meaning they have our name or logo printed on them) will be used to give back to my community. This will include many various organizations ranging from helping with medical costs, to disaster relief, to social issues, ect. I would also like to open the doors to you all and if you have any specific organizations or personal stories that you would like for me to consider then please feel free to contact me either via email or by sending me a DM on Instagram or Facebook.
